Using Carrier Tracking Links

How to use the carrier tracking links Helm surfaces alongside shipment reference numbers.

Helm surfaces direct tracking links for supported carriers right alongside a shipment's reference numbers, so you don't have to leave Outlook to check status.

Where Tracking Links Appear

When viewing a matched shipment in Helm, look for the 🔍 icon next to a reference number:

  • The MBL/BOL number, if it's a supported carrier

  • The container number

Clicking either takes you directly to the carrier's tracking page for that reference. See Shipment Matching and Search for more on how reference numbers appear in Helm.

Supported Carriers

As of Oct. 2, 2025, Helm supports direct tracking links for the following carriers based on carrier prefix:

  • ONE, MSC, CMA CGM, Maersk, Hapag-Lloyd, OOCL, COSCO, Evergreen, ANL, ZIM, Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM), FedEx, and United Airlines.

This list is kept in sync with the Helm FAQ—check there for the most current list.

If a Carrier Isn't Linked

If a reference number doesn't show a 🔍 icon, that carrier isn't in the supported list yet. You can still:

  • Copy the reference number and look it up manually on the carrier's website.

  • Send a request to your Account Manager to have the carrier added—while we can't guarantee every carrier will be supported, we prioritize based on customer demand.
