When Helm matches an email to a shipment or file, it shows you everything currently sitting in that file's eDoc folder. If a customer or partner asks for a document you already have on file, you can find it and download it without leaving Outlook.
Where to find it
Once Helm has matched your email to a shipment, look for the Documents section in the panel by scrolling to the bottom of the list. It lists every document currently in that file's eDoc folder, like a commercial invoice, packing list, or proof of delivery.
Each document shows:
Name: the file name as it's saved in CargoWise
Document type: how it's categorized (e.g. Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Proof of Delivery)
Source: how it got there, such as "Automated Data Import" or a manual upload
Published vs. not published
Some documents on a file are marked as published, and some aren't. This status is controlled by your organization's CargoWise settings for that document type. Helm can't change it, it just reflects what's already configured.
If you're not sure why a document is or isn't published, that's a CargoWise document-type setting, not something to troubleshoot in Helm.
Downloading a document
Open Helm on an email tied to the shipment you need
Find the document you want in the Documents list
Click the document to download it
Attach it to your reply, forward, or wherever you need it just like any other downloaded file.
That's it! No switching to CargoWise, no searching for the right file.
If a document isn't showing up yet
If you're expecting to see a document and it's not in the list:
Give it a minute. Documents can take 2–3 minutes to appear in Helm after they're uploaded to eDocs, even by another teammate.
Check you're on the right file. If Helm matched the wrong shipment, the document list will be for that shipment instead. [See how to confirm you're on the right shipment.]
