CargoWise eAdaptor Next Migration

This article is for customers who need to make changes in their own CargoWise environment for the migration to eAdaptor next.

Written by Support Team

Overview

Logixboard is moving to CargoWise's new eAdaptor Next integration framework. This requires two changes in your CargoWise (CW1) environment:

  1. Create an EDI Client for Logixboard

  2. Attach that EDI Client to your Org Proxies

Logixboard will provide you with the certificate and credentials needed to complete these steps. No changes to your data or shipment workflows are required — this is purely a connectivity configuration.

Step 1 — Create the EDI Client in CargoWise

Path: Maintain > EDI Messaging > EDI Client Details

  1. Click New

2. Set Technical Contact to an internal CW1 user at your organization (this is a required field used for reference only)

3. Set EDI Client Name to Logixboard

4. Under the Inbound tab:

  • Set Authorization Type to OAU (OAuth Authentication)

  • Set Branch / Department to match an active company in your tenant

  • Upload the Certificate Signing Request file provided by Logixboard

  • Click Verify (you should see a green checkmark)

  • Click Generate Certificate

  • Wait a few minutes, then click Refresh Certificates

  • Once the certificate appears (issued by WiseTech), click Download Certificate

  • Send the downloaded certificate file back to your Logixboard contact

  • Note down the OAuth Authority URL and OAuth Client ID — send these to Logixboard as well

5. Under the Outbound tab:

  • Set Authorization Type to BAU (Basic Authentication)

  • Enter the Endpoint, Username, and Password provided by Logixboard

6. Click Save and Close

Step 2: Attach the EDI Client to Org Proxies

You need to update every Org Proxy that currently sends data to Logixboard.

Option A: One by One

  1. Navigate to Maintain > User Admin > Companies,

2. Click Search, and record all active companies and their Org Proxies

3. For each Org Proxy:

  • Navigate to Maintain > Master Data > Organization

  • Search for and open the Org Proxy (Tip: Under Organization use Org.Proxy value in step 2 as code to Find Org)

  • Go to Config → EDI Communications

  • For each entry where Purpose Code = LXB, set EDI Client to the Logixboard EDI Client you created in Step 1

  • Save

Option B: Bulk Update (recommended if you have many Org Proxies)

If there are many Org Proxies, you can do a bulk update via Operational Actions. Refer to the attached document for instructions:

Verification

Once the above steps are complete, notify your Logixboard contact. We will verify on our end that data is flowing correctly through the new connection. You do not need to make any other changes to your CargoWise configuration.
