Supplier Users in Logixboard

Supplier users allow you to onboard suppliers into Logixboard so they can collaborate on purchase orders and bookings without exposing shipments or customer-facing data.

Supplier users help reduce back-and-forth and speed up booking workflows while keeping shipment data and customer views fully restricted.

What Can Supplier Users See?

Supplier users only have access to Orders and Bookings.

  • Orders: Supplier users can view purchase orders where their organization is listed as the Supplier.

  • Bookings: Supplier users can create and view bookings related to those orders, including splitting orders when placing a booking.

If a supplier is not listed on an order, they won’t see it.

What Can’t Supplier Users Access?

Supplier users do not have access to:

  • Shipments

  • Customer portals

  • Analytics

  • Any other Logixboard modules

They also can’t view booking options presented to customers. Their booking actions are limited to copying, canceling, or putting a booking on hold.

How Is Supplier Access Controlled?

Supplier access is controlled by the Supplier organization assigned to each order. You stay fully in control of what suppliers can see by managing supplier assignments at the order level.

Document permissions work the same way as other Logixboard users- you can allow access to none, all, or specific document types.

Creating a New User & Permissions

Supplier access is controlled by the Supplier organization assigned to each order. You stay fully in control of what suppliers can see by managing supplier assignments at the order level.

To create a new Supplier user, follow the same steps you would to create other users types in Logixboard. When assigning organizations to a Supplier user, these organizations will be used as follows:

  • Orders: We will look at the Supplier org on a Forwarding Order to allow the Supplier user visibility into the order.

  • Bookings: We will look at the Forwarding Order related to a booking and allow the Supplier user access if they have been given permissions to view the Supplier org on the Forwarding Order.

Document access works the same way it works for other Logixboard user types. Allow access to none, all, or some document types.

Module Access and Notifications

Supplier users will be able to:

  • View existing orders

  • Create new bookings

  • Split orders when placing a booking

  • View bookings related to their orders

Supplier users will have access to a subset of the notifications we provide:
