Enabling Automated Container Tracking (ACT)

  1. Purchase containers in a bundle (from an Account Manager or Account Exec)

  2. Tell Logixboard which Orgs to enable enrichment for ongoing

    1. Send a list of Org Code(s) directly to an Account Manager or file a ticket with Support via [email protected]

    2. Tell Logixboard if you want to enable “writeback” to CargoWise for these milestones

  3. Existing containers with an In Transit status and any new containers will be enriched as long as we have the minimum required fields for enrichment (see below: Minimum Necessary Information needed to enable ACT)

  4. Within the first week, we will support ACT rollout and help you keep an eye out for containers that were not enriched because of “bad data”.

    1. "Bad data" is defined as:

      1. Missing Master Bill of Lading (MBL), SCAC, or Container Numbers

      2. MBL does not match the carrier's MBL (internal MBLs are not supported)

      3. SCAC is not supported

      4. Typo in the MBL, SCAC or Container Numbers

    2. Once identified, 'bad data' can be rectified by updating missing/inaccurate fields in CW1. We will attempt again to enrich these containers with new information.

Purchasing More Containers for ACT

Reach out to your CSM or Account Manager to inquire about bundle pricing for more containers.

Disabling ACT

If you no longer want new shipments enrolled in ACT enrichment, submit a ticket to [email protected] with the org code(s) to stop enriching moving forward.

Minimum Necessary Information needed to enable ACT

  1. Accurate Master Bill of Lading (MBL) number. This field is in the Consol file on the Details tab.

  2. Accurate SCAC Code. This is usually the alpha prefix of the MBL number. If it is not, the SCAC code can be input into the Carriers Organization Code.

  3. Accurate Container Number. This field is in the Consol file on the Containers tab.

FAQ

How to prevent activation of Global Container Automation in Cargowise when using ACT

Users may choose to not enable CW Container Automation for files enriched with ACT. The following provides steps to take to prevent GCA from being enabled.

💡 Following these steps will remove the automation from ALL containers, not just those enrolled in Logixboard ACT.

  1. Remove the Carrier org in the Consol file under the details tab. See screenshot below.

  2. Remove the Carrier org in the Consol file under the routing tab. See screenshot below.
