Automated Container Tracking (ACT) is a premium Logixboard feature that allows users to access container tracking data in real-time. It automatically fills in gaps and reduces latency in container data, eliminating the need for operators to manually find and enter information into your system.

ACT data primarily covers ocean shipment legs, as well as rail legs handled by ocean carriers.

🌟 This is a premium feature. If you wish to activate it, please reach out to your CSM or Account Manager.

Users who purchase the ACT add-on can choose which customers should have ACT enabled. When you turn it on for an organization, they’ll see enhanced shipment data in several places across the platform.

Enhanced Shipment Details

ACT data is based on the route details, derived from the Master Bill. It is a live feed from 25 global ocean carriers, and over 60 North American port terminals.

The data is refreshed on a continuous basis. Early transit events (departure from POL, arrival at transship port) are received within 4 hours. Late transit events (arrival at POD, full gate out) are received within 2 hours.

Logixboard data enhanced with ACT can be accessed throughout the Detailed Shipment View:

Route Details

ACT will populate journey 'legs' for ocean (and some inland rail) portions of the shipment, including those 'legs' not defined in the TMS (e.g., transshipment legs). This includes Estimated and Actual departure and arrival dates, as well as vessel and voyage data.

These data elements are also leveraged elsewhere in the application (Dashboard, Shipment Explorer, Analytics, etc.) and will be updated in all places where the specific field is utilized.
