Creating a Booking

Visit the Creating a Booking article to get the process started.

Submit the request to alert your Freight Forwarder that there's a new booking to review.

LSP Review Process

Once the booking has been submitted, admins or operators can make any edits or adjustments to the booking and send it back to you for review.

Bookings can be paused, duplicated, cancelled or deleted if created in error.

  1. Select the 3 dots in the right-hand corner to copy the booking, put on hold, cancel or delete the booking.

2. Edit the booking request or use the in-app chat to leave messages or updates for your customer.

3. You can again request customer approval during this process if you have made edits you will like your customer to review.

Quoting and Rate Options

Use the create option button to input route and rate options for your customer. You can add multiple different options and set expiry dates for each option.

  1. Select create option and fill out the required fields including origin port, destination port, ETD, ETA and primary mode.

  2. Add in option rates, currency and expiration date for each quote.

  3. You can edit or hide the quote once it's created, or create multiple options.

  4. Once the correct routes and quotes have been added, you can send the booking back to your customer for approval. Or you can confirm it on behalf of your customer without them approving the rates.

  5. The customer can then choose the correct quote and approve the booking.

  6. Once both parties are happy, select confirm booking to complete the booking process.

  7. When confirming a booking on Logixboard, you will have the ability to decide between creating a shipment or a booking in CargoWise.

Booking Statuses and Notifications

Logixboard will inform all involved parties exactly what stage the booking is throughout the booking creation process. The booking will move through the following stages.

Notifications

Enable notifications for bookings so you never miss an update on your active bookings.

1. Go to the settings menu and notifications tab.

2. Enable notifications for all bookings when the status changes:

  • New booking requested

  • Booking approved

  • New booking options requested

  • Booking option confirmed

  • On hold

  • Resumed

  • Cancelled

  • Deleted

  • Cargo at risk of missing planned departure

Notifications will apply to all bookings in the platform for users who have access to the organization linked to the booking.
